  Just stayed here about 2 weeks ago, and it's amazing. Definitely one of my favorite hotels I've stayed at. It has that vacation resort feel for sure. They have tennis courts, a nice pool & lounging area, a jacuzzi. Our room had a long balcony with nice chairs and a little table, which made for a great place to chill in the morning with a hot cup of coffee and wrapped in a blanket (it was rainy). The beach is literally right there, and downtown is within walking distance @ 1.5 miles. I made the walk to downtown several times over that weekend, and it's not bad at all. Most of it is along the beach, so it makes for a beautiful walk. You'll literally find every kind of food downtown, as well as places to shop, a couple theatres, a museum, and there's also a great night life, several clubs, there's a music venue called Velvet Jones that always has live acts. Overall, its a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city, and in a great location. **At the time of this post they were renovating the hotel in sections (which i didn't have any problems with during our stay, they were low key) , so I'd imagine it'll be even nicer when completed.

  Beautiful hotel, excellent location! Rooms are gorgeous, parking plentiful at $21/day. Right across the street from the beach, I was in a room towards the back and it took me 3 min to be on the sand! Lots of available amenities. Only issues were the lunch service was slooooow - took 40 minutes to be served, and food was lukewarm at best, and we watched other tables that came after us be served first. Dog friendly hotel, which is great.... but not when you're trying to sleep and they're barking across the hall. Perhaps separation of dog families with non-dog guests would be great. No way to rinse your feet off after walking on the beach, so you're literally walking through the hotel with sand everywhere! Small faucets near the walking path entrances from the beach would be so awesome! And last, the train runs across the back of the hotel, which sucks if you're in the back rooms for noise. However I will say that all of the other hotels across from the beach are in the same position, so no difference there. All in all, I'd stay again, just plan better on the sand thing, and perhaps ask about a room a bit away from others, in case there are loud doggies. It really is a gorgeous hotel, and the staff were great when I need them! Oh and the coffee bar downstairs that serves Starbucks coffee was a plus!
